Can I change my domain or account contact details?

24 0 0

Yes, contact data can be changed. However, it is important to distinguish between customer account data (for billing and communication with TicketHelp) and domain holder data (registered in the WHOIS database).

1. Modification of data from the Customer Account

This is the data used by TicketHelp to issue invoices and contact you.

  • How to change: You log in Customer Area -> "Account Details".

  • What you can change: Address, phone number, password or contact person.

  • Note: If you wish to change your billing data from an individual to a legal entity (company), it is recommended that you contact us via a support ticket to ensure that all future invoices will be issued correctly.

2. Modifying Domain contact data (WHOIS)

This is the official data stored at the Registry (ROTLD, ICANN, etc.).

  • International Domains (.com, .net etc.): You can change the address or phone number directly in the "Domains" -> "Manage" -> "Information" section Contact".

  • Email Caution: Changing the holder's email address often triggers a verification process. You will receive a confirmation email that you must approve for the change to take effect.

  • Domains .ro: Changing contact data (address, phone) can be done from the ROTLD administration panel. However, if a complete change of owner (other name/other company) is desired, the process is a special "Transfer of right of use".

3. Why is it important to have up-to-date data?

  • Security: All authorization codes (EPP) and security alerts are sent to the holder's email. If you no longer have access to that address, you may lose control of the domain.

  • Legal validity: Incorrect or fictitious data may result in domain suspension by ICANN (for international domains).

  • Payment notices: Invoices and expiry notices are sent to the customer account data.

4. Automatic updating of invoices

If you change the contact details in the customer account, the new details will automatically appear on the next proforma or fiscal invoices issued by our system.
