cPanel User Guide: Account Administration and Configuration

24 2 0

cPanel is the most widely used web hosting management control panel, providing an intuitive interface for managing domains, files and databases.

1. How to access cPanel

There are three main ways to authenticate:

  • Through the TicketHelp Client Area: Go to My Services -> Select the hosting package -> Press the button Log in to cPanel.

  • By direct link: domeniultau.ro/cpanel or domeniultau.ro:2083.

  • Using IP address: https://[IP_SERVER]:2083.

2. File Manager

The File Manager tool allows you to manage your site files without the need for an external FTP client.

  • public_html: It is the main folder. Everything you upload here will be visible on the internet.

  • Upload: Use this button to upload files (maximum 500MB recommended via browser).

  • Permissions: Make sure folders have permission 755 and files 644.

3. Email Administration

From the Email Accounts section, you can:

  • Create personalized email addresses (eg: contact@domeniultau.ro).

  • Configure mail clients (Outlook, Gmail, iPhone) using the IMAP/SMTP settings provided in the interface.

  • Access Webmail directly from the browser to read messages.

4. Security and SSL Certificates

All our packages include free SSL certificates.

  • AutoSSL: cPanel automatically installs an SSL certificate for new domains within the first 24 hours.

  • Force HTTPS: You can automatically redirect traffic from HTTP to HTTPS in the Domains -> button Force HTTPS Redirect.

5. Optimization and Performance

  • Select PHP Version: Allows you to change the PHP version (we recommend PHP 8.1 or 8.2 for security and speed).

  • MultiPHP INI Editor: Here you can increase the memory limits (memory_limit) or the maximum size of uploaded files (upload_max_filesize).

  • Optimize Website: Enable Gzip compression to make the website load faster.

6. Backups

Although TicketHelp performs periodic backups, we recommend that you generate your own backups:

  • Access the Backup Wizard.

  • Choose Full Backup or just for Home Directory and MySQL Databases.
