Can I get the hosting service without a domain?

The short answer is YES, you can purchase and use a hosting package without having a working domain or registered with us, but there are some technicalities you need to know before you can access your files.

1. Using an existing domain

If you already have a domain registered with another provider, you can just buy hosting from TicketHelp. For this to work, you will need to point the domain to our servers by changing the Nameservers (NS) at your current registrar.

2. Accessing the site by IP address (Preview)

If you don't have a domain yet or it's not propagated, you can access your site and work on it using one of the following methods:

  • Server IP: You can upload files via FTP using the server IP address (found in the welcome email).

  • Temporary Address (Change Hosts File): You can force your computer to see the site from our server before the rest of the world does. This is done by editing the hosts file in Windows/Mac, associating our IP with the desired domain name.

  • Preview URL: In some cPanel configurations, you can use the format http://server-ip/~username/ to view the contents of the public_html folder.

3. Why is it recommended to have a domain anyway?

Although the storage space works independently, many essential functions depend on the existence of a valid domain:

  • Email: You cannot create or receive emails of the type contact@numesite.ro without an active domain.

  • SSL Certificate: Free certificates (Let's Encrypt) cannot be issued for IP addresses, only valid and propagated domains.

  • SEO and Indexing: Search engines will not index content if it is not associated with a domain.

4. Hosting for Tests or Storage (Backup/Cloud)

You can use the hosting package as a private storage space (via FTP/File Manager) or to run internal scripts that do not require public domain access. In this case, select the option "I will use my existing domain and update nameservers" at checkout, even if you enter a fictitious domain name.
